Our practicum aka Clinical Residency started last Monday. It’s different from the Related Learning Experience during our college days. We aren’t allowed to handle patients which SUCKS. What we only do are observe, choose a patient for case study, eat at McDo, and go home. Hahaha! Seriously. I once told my classmates, “Masmatagal pa yata tambay natin dito sa McDo kaysa sa loob (hospital) eh!” Contrary to our “objectives” as part of our requirements, we do not complete the 8 hours of clinical exposure. After getting the cases, we go home immediately. Like today, I arrived at the hospital at 7:30 am (I’m late! I know!) and left at 9:30 and hanged out at McDo with my classmates for an hour.
This was on our first day. This is not in McDo though. This was the day when Mamu (we call her Mamu because she’s already 50 and a mom of two kids) who was assigned at the Emergency Room apparently became one of the area’s patients. She had a sudden rise in blood pressure. Stressed on the first day?

Another picture with my classmates.

And this was today after I got home from my 2-hour duty. I don’t know why I like this picture. Maybe because I am getting compliments from different people? Hihi!
